Jason Leonard is a healthcare and public services leader with nearly 20 years of experience helping organizations modernize operations, adopt emerging technologies, and deliver measurable outcomes. As a Principal at CapTech Consulting, he leads delivery across two of the firm’s largest industry portfolios — Healthcare and Public Services — overseeing teams that tackle some of the most complex challenges in both sectors.
Jason’s work sits at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution. In healthcare, he advises organizations on AI acceleration, cloud adoption, data-driven decision-making, and end-to-end product development aimed at improving patient outcomes and operational performance. In public services, he helps government agencies modernize legacy systems, enhance citizen engagement, and build data strategies that make public programs more effective and accessible.
A former CapTech client himself, Jason brings a pragmatic, outcomes-first perspective to consulting — grounded in the reality of what it takes to move large organizations forward. His recent thought leadership includes published work on surgical cost variation, the impact of tariffs on healthcare delivery, and how AI is reshaping the healthcare workforce — topics that reflect his focus on practical innovation over hype.
Jason holds an MBA from the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business and has completed executive programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School and UC Berkeley. He serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Central Ohio and is based in the Columbus, Ohio area, where he lives with his wife Chelsea and their two daughter .
