Mission Statement

The Donegal Diaspora Initiative exists to celebrate and strengthen the global connections of County Donegal through community, culture, sport, and enterprise. Our mission is to unite Donegal people and their descendants around the world by fostering meaningful relationships, promoting shared heritage, and creating opportunities for collaboration across borders. Through our annual Donegal Diaspora Gathering, held in a different international city each year, we bring together individuals and organizations for a weekend of business networking, Gaelic games, music, and cultural exchange, building a vibrant and inclusive global Donegal community.
